About the inn

A 70-year-old kominka in the satoyama of Kurayoshi, Tottori. One party per day — time here is meant to be unhurried.

A farming couple who moved here live with their pear orchard. Guests are welcomed not as customers, but as dear friends.

This is not a polished hotel. Come for the warmth of handmade things, and the air of a Japanese landscape that still feels close to its origins.

Food, crafts, and onsen

    Pears

In the orchard a short way from the inn, the farming couple tend their pears through the year. Walk among the blossom, try pollinating and bagging, pick the fruit, or watch winter pruning — each season has its own story.

    The field

Near the inn, the satoyama and vegetable plots offer more than pears: foraging wild greens, picking summer vegetables, indigo dyeing, kite-making, and other hands-on work rooted in local life.

    Food

Wood-fired pizza from our oven, rolled sushi you can make yourself, and meals cooked with local vegetables and fruit. Dinner and breakfast stay with the flavours of the satoyama.
